Collection of information: ISI obtains all critical information about the threats to the national security and enemies and their interests. Both overt and covert means are adopted to gather all possible information only to safeguard the national security.
Classification of information: Data is sifted through, classified as appropriate, and filed with the assistance of the computer network in ISI's headquarters in
Islamabad which is one of the most sophisticated network of the world.
Aggressive intelligence: The primary mission of ISI includes aggressive intelligence which comprises counter attacks, espionage, psychological warfare, subversion, sabotage of the assets of enemy, damaging inside the Pakistan and which are working as a threat.
Counter Intelligence: ISI has a dedicated section which spies against enemy's intelligence collection.

Third Country Technique: ISI has been active in obtaining information and operating through third countries like Afghanistan, Nepal, the United Kingdom, Bangladesh, Sri Lanka, Iran, Turkey and China. |
